Cookies are small files a website can store on your device, often used to remember you or to measure how a site is used. Some browsers' “local storage” works the same way. This page explains what we use and how you stay in control.
Your choice comes first
By default we set no analytics or advertising cookies. The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you'll allow them. Nothing non-essential is loaded until you choose Accept, and you can pick analytics and advertising separately under Manage. We use c15t to record your choice and Google Consent Mode so Google's tags stay switched off until you opt in.
You can change your mind whenever you like: select “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page to update or withdraw your consent. Withdrawing stops further data collection and you can also clear the relevant cookies in your browser.
The cookies we use
We use Google Tag Manager to load the analytics and advertising tags below. It only loads after you opt in and sets no cookies of its own — the cookies come from the tags it manages.
Strictly necessary
One small entry stores your consent choice itself (in a cookie and your browser's local storage), so we don't ask on every page. It sets no tracking and is exempt from consent because the site can't remember your preference without it.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
c15t | This site (c15t) | Remembers your cookie choices. | Up to 1 year |
Analytics — only with your consent
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics (GA4) helps us see which pages are useful and how people find us.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors. | 2 years |
_ga_<id> | Google Analytics | Maintains session state. | 2 years |
Advertising — only with your consent
If you accept advertising, Google Ads lets us measure which adverts lead to enquiries (conversion tracking). These are set only when you opt in.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Google Ads | Measures ad conversions. | 90 days |
Google may set additional cookies on its own domains when its tags run. The exact set can change; for the authoritative list see Google's cookie usage.
Other third-party services
When you submit the contact form, your message is delivered through Formspree. The form only sends data when you submit it and doesn't load tracking scripts while you browse. The fonts are served from our own server, so loading a page doesn't hand your data to a font provider. See our Privacy Policy for how all of this data is handled.
Managing cookies in your browser
As well as our “Cookie settings” link, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Doing so won't break this site, though blocking everything may reset your saved consent choice. See aboutcookies.org for step-by-step guides.
